June 2012 - MADD Sarnia/Lambton


Organization: MADD Sarnia/Lambton

Mission: To stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.

About: Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD Canada) is a charitable, grassroots organization that is committed to stopping impaired driving and supporting the victims of this violent crime.  MADD Canada strives to offers support services to victims, heighten awareness about the dangers of alcohol and/or drug-impaired driving, and to save lives and prevent injuries on our roads.

Programs: Victim Services: MADD's most important priority is helping those who have lost a loved one or suffered an injury as a result of impaired driving and provides a full range of free services.

Youth Services

  • Multi-Media Assembly Programs at local high schools.
  • Poster, essay contests - local/national
  • Multi-media contests - local/national
  • Resources for Teachers and Educators
  • Bursary Program

MADD Sarnia/Lambton also holds fundraising events, such as Strides for Change and participates in the Project Red Ribbon and Campaign 911 awareness campaigns.

Things You Can Do:  Volunteers are always needed for candlelight vigils, victim services, voluntary tolls, Project Red Ribbon and other activities..  The first Strides for Change walk in Sarnia-Lambton takes place on June 23, 2012.  You can also provide support through a financial donation.
